ROCKMAN Released

We just uploaded our new game ROCKMAN onto Indievania and it should be available in a couple of days.
Check out this Gameplay Video

We have been working on the game for about 4 months and have decided to go ahead and make the game free! Since we haven't gotten any outside testing we really hope to get feedback, so we can continue to improve the game. Cheers!

  2. I've been playing this for the last couple of days and have been enjoying it. I love the graphics and music, and the fast paced play is fun (though a tad on the hard side). I have found a few bugs, though.

The most serious is that on a summit challenge, it's possible (and easy) to cheat; if you leave a screen and backtrack, you can collect the same flag multiple times. For example, I was able to get a time of 7.3 seconds in Hightide coast by collecting the Shell Rock flag, exiting, returning, and taking it again (and then a third time).

Also, in the rock formation above the summit challenge start in Silverrush Rapids, there's an area that you can blow up; but even if you do, it's still impossible to enter it and collect the golden suitcase (or whatever that thing is).

Other than that, I suggest that you tweak the costs for levels - at the moment, it's definitely necessary to grind a little between level unlocks which can be frustrating, especially once all the accessible credits are worth 1.

I hope you can update and address these issues as I'm really enjoying the game :)

  3. Another bug - I found the fountain on the top right corner of maroon lagoon, but it won't register as a discovery no matter how much I jump around that cavern. Which means I can't get the trophy for all extreme discoveries...

    1. Hey, thanks for the feedback. We'll get right on it...
We would have liked to have had a update already (which addresses some of those bugs) but have run into a few issues in preparing a build.

About TwO Bros.

A little about us: We got started about 7 years ago with the free game making utility, Game Maker, putting together prototypes (l.e. game projects we started then soon gave up on.) Tim does game design, hammering out the game's core features and levels. Orion is the artist and does some programing so that all the little sprites can move around (This isn't as easy as it sounds.) "Climb" is our first big title (it's also a long title,) and was a indiePub contest winner as well as a Indie challenge finalist. Recently we've been creating smaller projects like RockDude and Lightning Strike Dash, which have been slightly more manageable for us. All of our games are available for free at indievania.com
